Lord Beckett straightened his lacy cuffs and smoothed the sleeves of his velvet brocade coat, glancing once more at his reflection in the mirror. The black cat grooming itself on the sun drenched windowsill stopped with paw in midair and observed the human with languid green eyes. Quite cat-like he was, in manner and appearance. Smooth and unperturbed, quiet and deliberate in word and action. The cat went back to his own grooming, as his human counterpart picked up his stick and hat and left the room. The cat yawned and stretched lazily, before springing lithely down off the sill and similarly stalking out, tail high.
