OK, at some point, darlin', you are going to have to read Kinkaid #5, Book of Days. All about an innocent little CD that goes meta and mega and turns a 60-date, four month tour of 18K-seat arenas into a 2.5 Death March, where the band ends up playing stadiums like Maracana and River Platè and the new outdoor Wenbley, seating 96K.
And what it takes to organise and run one of those.
People just have no idea what goes into making things that pop into their sub-conscious happen. The art of making product stick in people's head is insanity.
Having had a hand in talent coordination (spoiled rockers variety, see for instance Bill Graham, FM Productions, subset SNACK Sunday benefit, with, among others, Bob Dylan headlining), I grok.
I was just saying to somebody today that anybody who thinks my job is glamorous is welcome to it for a day. People really think that "Carol's Daughter on the Tyra Show" means "Joanna gets to go to the set of The Tyra Show and watch the fun". NSM.
It does, actually. I really love the feeling of "I did this" that I get from my job. Just the fact that something I created is living on YouTube is weird to me. And it's not, like, "Leave Britney Alone". It's like, real.

I don't envy the stress you went through, but it must be nice to look back and see something that wouldn't have happened without you.
