Hello all,

I really, really, really like Boulder.

School starts tomorrow (OSEP trip) and Monday (orientation week) and next Monday (classes) and next next Monday (lab).

well at least in Boulder I think your not living in the Denver 'brown cloud'. I don't know if you've seen that yet, but since Denver is actually in a valley surrounded by mountains, all the pollution just sits on top of it with nowhere to go. When you drive down from other areas you come over the mountain passes and can look down on Denver like from an airplane and on some days you can't see the city through the brown haze over it. Very nasty and I hope you don't have to spend much time there. If you want to visit a nice city in Colorado, drive down to Colorado Springs. The Springs is actually quite a bit higher in elevation than Denver (the 'Mile High City', like that's all that high in Colorado). It's over 7000' I believe. There is also a nice zoo in the Springs, and walking around that place is actually a pretty good workout (every direction seems to be uphill!) If you aren't afraid of hights, try going down to Canon City. Of of hwy50 is a scenic road called Skyline Drive. It runs on the top of the ridge overlooking Canon City and ( ... )

I agree, every direction seems to be uphill. And good thing I don't drink or drive :-)
