No, no it doesn't. Although, I'm really over Earl. I keep trying to watch it, but it seems a little spent to me. Office and 30 Rock however, are my crack.
Have you watched Kath and Kim? I was wondering why it was so clever and different and then my husband found out that it's based on an australian show. Makes sense. Kind of like the Office. Have you seen the British Office?
I teach voice and diction and the opera workshop at a really small private college. I have two students at another really small private Korean college. My two girls are uber traditional and didn't feel comfortable with their male teacher so the school found me. And then I teach voice and piano to some little ones at the fine arts school. Add to that the staff singer job at my church. This is why I'm so excited about going back to school for nursing. I so look forward to having ONE JOB for the first time in my life!
I bet having multiple jobs is hard come tax time as well; trying to juggle all the paperwork for all the different incomes from different sources.
I was just reading in the November "Classical Singer" an article that mentioned that the reality is that most singers "cobble together" a living with a mix of teaching, church work and performing. And, while yes you can say that you are full time musician, it can be hard to balance all three AND have a little one at home, I bet!

I was just reading in the November "Classical Singer" an article that mentioned that the reality is that most singers "cobble together" a living with a mix of teaching, church work and performing. And, while yes you can say that you are full time musician, it can be hard to balance all three AND have a little one at home, I bet!
