A three-quarter size should be good for someone of his dimensions. Yamaha are a good learning brand, and decently priced.

Rock up to Billy Hydes or somewhere similar (NOT Allans!) and talk to them.

Nope :) I know they do three-quarter size guitars anyway. I learned on one at school.

Also, try for steel strings if you can. It'll hurt his hands to start, but unless he only wants to be a classical guitarist, he'll have to get used to them at some point anyway. They also are more forgiving and require a lighter touch than nylons.

WHOA! you are in my head! Taj is starting music next year. He is choosing currently between drums and guitar...
we need to consume coffee together. So I have been so slack and Im so sorry...with the business and stuff going on I have been crazy busy. When do you have time off ? weekends are ALWAYS mental for me xox

i have days off during the week ...but they always change.
