It will NOT take you an hour. It will take you an hour and a half at least in the morning and at LEAST 2 hours in the afternoon. I had to plow back and forth between long beach and Van Nuys (in the Valley) for 2 months and it was not fun. I only had time to sleep, eat, work and drive.
