so, i had my first chinese test today. & i sooo know i failed it. i wouldn't have spent hours upon hours studying characters if i had known the test was going to be 95% pinyin. fuck! i'm starting to sense this semester is going to go really smooth for me (joke). i mean, it's not like i don't have the study habits to make good grades, because i do.

sorry to know that you might fail. cheer up! I think it's great that you can memorize all these characters, if i was not a chinese, it must have been quite hard for me to keep those characters on mind as well, esp there are certain rules one has to abide by when one writes them stroke by stroke, which is hard for a non-native speaker.
