[Background]
Here and here

[Personality]
A guardian. It’s one word that fits Asbel perfectly. Ever since the incident with Sophie when he was young, he has had the complete determination to protect everyone he can. He doesn’t want to lose anyone anymore, which is why he left his home and trained to become a knight in the first place. He can’t stand the thought of not helping those within his field of vision if there’s something he can do to help. To him, there’s nothing worse than failing to protect someone important to him.

Being trained as a knight, he has a lot of honor, respect and is very polite. He prefers to fight fairly if he can and does not like too unnecessary fighting. Fights like brawls or if someone is trying to pick a fight for some reason he tries to avoid. He is very respectful of those in power as well and those that earn his respect. However, even he has a certain line that can be crossed and that is when those close to him are in danger or threatened in someway.

Asbel is also very honest and straightforward, preferring to try and think positively about the situation. It’s not in him to hide things and lie to those he knows unless for good reason. Plus his ability to lie isn’t that good. He would more than likely try to change the subject or keep quiet instead. Because of this, he can become easily flustered when embarrassing topics are brought up. Being simple also means that he can be quick to anger or shock. He tries to keep it under control for as long as he can but sooner or later he let's it out, and usually all of it at once. However, he's very loyal to his friends and trusts them greatly. Even if they turn on him, he would like to stay positive and believe that they can be convinced and reasoned with still.

Of course, he’s not all serious. In fact, he does have a habit of being a bit childish at times. Whether it's "arguing" with Cheria or talking with Sophie he shows himself to be very kind and can tease/fool around a bit.

[Abilities]
Having been trained as a knight, Asbel is a very powerful fighter be it with a sword, his sheath or mixing those two with kicks and punches. He is also able to use special artes and techniques.

[Other important stuff]
Nothing really, he's just a normal human.

[Sample post]

[First Person]

1) If you could go back home, would you? Why or why not?
I would… The people here are all very kind, considerate and this place is beautiful in it’s own way. However, I still have something I must do back home. But I suppose I might miss this place a little.

2) Would you consider yourself a power hungry individual?
No. It is true that I strive to become stronger, but it’s not for the sole purpose of gaining and obtaining power. I just want the strength to protect those around me.

3) Do you stand up against authority, go against all odds, and if you could, pierce the heavens with your fighting spirit? If not, would you if you could?
Only if that authority has done something to earn such a thing and even then...

[A bit troubled and some doubt. In a way he was going against authority back home but not for the sole purpose of going against it.

…Richard, what happened to you?]

4) You are a given a mission. Would you complete it effectively or would you goof off and do something else? Expand a little on the response.
I would complete it as effectively as I can. But that would still depend on what kind of mission it is I suppose.

5) You have two options: either save your friend who is hanging from a cliff, or chase after the bad guy who put them in a position. If you choose the former, the bad guy will get away and it will be hard to catch him. If you choose the latter, the cliff will crumble and the friend will fall to the spiky rocks below. What do you do and why?
Save my friend.

[Instant and determined response]

I would never let someone close to me die if I could do something about it, even if it means the culprit would get away.

6) You just got a challenge to fight from one of the strongest gang leaders around. Do you accept or reject? Why?
I would have to turn it down. Chances are it would only cause more trouble if I accepted and I have no reason to fight them in the first place.

[Third Person]

One week. It had been one week today since Asbel had first woken up in this strange world. To think it almost flew by so fast, even now it still feels very surreal. He didn’t think it was possible but after seeing and talking to the others that were kept here as well, it was hard to deny it.

He was on his way to the market for some fresh fruit and vegetables for the week. He wasn’t the best cook but he still could fix things together for himself. Although what he wouldn’t give for some of Cheria’s curry right about now. What he wouldn’t give to see Sophie and the others too, to make sure they were alright…

Asbels thoughts were interrupted though by the sound of a heavy bag falling. He turned to find an elderly woman trying to pick up her dropped fruits and bread from up the ground. He immediately went over, kneeling down to the ground and began placing the food back in the bag. The older woman looked at him for a small moment before smiling at him as she tried to help as well.

“Why thank you.”

“Oh, it’s no problem ma’am.” He replied with a smile as he continued to place the fruits back in the bag.

With his help it didn’t take long at all before it was all off the ground. Asbel stood up, went to help the old lady stand and picked up the bag for her.

“If you would like, I could carry it for you.”

“What a kind young man, but I can handle it.” She said with a small smile.

“Are you sure?” He was a bit unsure about it. This bag was quite heavy and if not taken with care it might

“Don’t underestimate me too much now.”

“Oh, I didn’t mean it like that-“

She laughed a little at that, making Asbel look slightly embarrassed. “I know, but I won’t trouble you any further than this. I appreciate the offer though, and thank you”

Seeing her perk up like that made his own smile come back. With that, he handed the bag carefully to her making sure she had a firm grip on it before letting go.

“You’re welcome.”

With that she walked off. Asbel stood there for a moment watching her, just to make sure she really was alright. Of course, there was no real need to but he just wanted to make sure. It wasn’t needed though as she soon melded into the crowd of people. Asbel took a moment to look at the crowd around him, almost losing himself in thought. He needed to find a way home, but if people here needed his help then there's no way he could just leave them alone...

Now that he thought about, there was something called The Watch here that acted as law enforcement right? He made a mental note to check more into it when he got back from shopping.

[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] The muse has been kicking at me for a long while now and I finally caved into it. Plus it’s a nice switch from my other characters.
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] Still no god-modding

[Any questions?] Why do I seem to keep apping characters from games? orz
