Yellow, Pink, Red, White and all sorts of pretty followers embellishing the marooned dull grey-black tar road. Blast of crisp breeze brushing your face leaving the hair frayed. Sweet smelling smoke from burning wood coupled with the aroma of frying food from the stove made of bricks. Unpretentious homes and lives of the construction workers.

After some nice Tamil Nadu style dinner Anjali and I resigned to our beds. . Shiv and Adarsh still upset about the mirror room set out with their cameras in the dark to shoot the Milky Way.

Around 8:30PM this Saturday I went out vegetable shopping. Hopcom is 5 minutes walk from my house. I was clad in jeans and t-shirt. It was a cold evening so I wrapped a shawl around me. I took the regularly trodden path.

While I was on my way to foodworld to buy something really essential; a jaunty poster on Odyssey (bookstore) glass door caught my unnecessary attention. It read “I’m one year old….. 40% discount and something of the sort”..
