Of course, it would have been too easy for Davide to attend the same school. Nevertheless, another school in Tokyo was still considerably closer than Chiba. They could meet almost every day now, personal lives allowing of course, and talk and play and... just, meet.

It was warm, a heat wave upon them in fact, and while others tried to stay inside and out of the sun Davide seemed to thrive on it, energetic as ever. Far it be from Kaidou to refuse to accompany him, and they sometimes even had free reign of the nigh-deserted street courts, others avoiding physical exercise under the scorching sun.

"Forty-love," called Davide out, grinning. "I almost don't want to get any points, myself."

"Oh?" Kaidou raised his eyebrows, preparing for another serve. "Why so?"

"Oh, you know." The grin was even wider. "Just so you could win love from me."

"...Fsshuuu. Idiot." Kaidou glared at his boyfriend over the net.

Sometimes, Chiba didn't seem so bad, either.
