Indeed- I think it would have bothered me a lot if we had left this place and not even tried.

We are torn. We'll need to have a discussion about what to do now. My situation back home is better than I thought it would, and none of the other options I have seem appealing, so it's a tough decision. I'd be leaving a lot of people I love and who helped care for the two of us all this time behind, and something about that is eating at me.
