They usually put the crappier songs at the end of the cd. The good ones go in the front, so you get hyped up when you first put it in. In the 90's most of the singles were midway, track 7 for instance, to keep your attention long enough to finish the rest of it.

me and my friends have a theory that the second song and the ninth song are the best on most albums. seven is good a lot too though.
