She certainly wasn't going to be the one waving at her boss. Idly checking her manicure (perfect, as usual), Kitty waits and occasionally looks down at the slim Blackberry clipped at her waist.

"....what? Are you...is it live? No...its pre-taped. So by the time you return home, you should be seeing it on the delay. As a matter of fact, go there and watch it. Repeatedly. Because you no longer have a job to worry about interrupting your viewing....GET!"

Watching Michelle stalk away, Kitty turns back and waits for Luthor to finish.

"HE showed up!?" Lex has flown into a normal one of his rages. "this wasn't his press...this wasn't FOR him!" He fumes, stalking around the room. "Who the hell allowed him entry? He's doing it again! Taking the focus where it needs to be and putting it onto him!"

There's a part of her that understands his seemingly unreasonable dislike of the man that everyone else in the world seems to love.
The rest of her just hopes that he never decides to point all of that rage at her.
So Kitty waits, holding a thin sheaf of papers listing out the reporters and other press that had received invitations to the press conference.

"He's going to force my hand. I should have taken care of this when I had the chance. Left him...broken. Defeated! Left him just in a heap of his own failure. He can't...he won't take this from me."
