Well, he warned me 2 years ago, so I was ready. "Progressive lenses". I could have waited another 2 years to make the move, but chances are that by then the difference would have been so dramatic that I'd be falling down every set of stairs I encountered for a month

Yup. I'm due for my exam and I know from nightly experience(it's worse after dark)I've got to get bifocals or just regular glasses and readers. Well, I've already got the cane. Maybe I should take up pipe smoking;>

Just get the progressives... you'll be glad you did. (I've had 'em so long I can't remember when I first got them.) Then go to Hooters again.
