I don't know how writers can bring themselves to kill off characters they like. I'd be too busy crying to ever be able to kill off any of shinee, especially Minho, cuz he's my bias.

.oh. my. god. This is genius. Like, I need to get off my phone and go to a comp to properly comment this. And it's a part 3? Hfdjkssdfg I need to read the other two like now. I am going to track this fic (first time doing it haha) b/c it is so. GOOD for lack of a better term right now. Ohgosh I would go into detail but I must contain myself lol but just. Ugh, know that I love this T____T so vey much T_____T

Aww, thanks ^_^ It's a part 3, but each prologue focuses on a different member of shinee, so the order you read them in isn't really important yet.

oh ok good i'm glad i didn't potentially ruin this for myself lol.

ok so where do i begin. i guess by complaining right? seriously why does this not have more comments! though i'm one to talk; i very rarely comment i'm picky ._. but when i see something so well thought out and presented, i go a little haywire with commenting aka i reply with a very long comment(s) and quoting ( ... )

Omo, I loved "Higher Ground" soooo much. Actually, when my beta first mentioned her idea for this story, I was like, "Have you ever seen Higher Ground? 'Cause that's what this reminds me of!" Lol, she hasn't seen it, but the comparison was what got me really excited about writing it.

As for Minho and his really messed up childhood, my beta and I are NEVER afraid to go near dark themes, and we feel that if you're going to do it, you have to do it all the way, but not in any gratuitous, meaningless way, if that makes sense. Pretty much all of our multichapter story ideas involve dark themes, though, and part of it is because we have really high standards and can't find enough darker fics that meet them, lol.

Anyway, thanks for reading! I totally don't mind the rambling, lol, I love long reviews ♥ You had me and my beta blushing, haha.

not gonna lie, as sad as this chapter was overall, I was WAY more affected by what that sick little fucker did to the cat. I immediately burst into tears and couldn't read on for a while. (people think I'm a bitch because I value animal life FAR above any human's. I'd run into a burning building to save my kitty without hesitation, but my big brother's on his own XD)

that said, I cried for Minhoyah, too ;-; poor kid... I torture my characters, too, but damn... XD

only two more to go~ (I confess, I'm antsy X3 I can't wait to see what happens when they all get to the camp and shizz. <3)

keep it up! I shall be anxiously awaiting more =3

I felt really bad about the kitty, but it had to be done to show how serious the problem with Minho's brother is. Hurting animals is one of the childhood signs of a sociopath, which Minseok is, so everything I had him do is based off of that and what I think Azula from "Avatar the Last Airbender" would do. Lol, she's one of my favorite cartoon villains and a prime example of a sibling-torturing sociopath.

oh, no. I completely understand your motives lol. you're right, and you definitely hit the mark, imo. that just doesn't make it any easier to read ^^; I've run across plenty of animal-torture/killing in stories and movies and stuff, and it always makes me hate the character more than I ever thought it possible to hate ANYONE, and it always makes me burst into tears. >.>;;; don't take it personally!

Oh, I don't take it personally at all. I understand your feelings completely, cuz I have cats, too, and I can't imagine someone wanting to hurt them like that in real life.
