needs more but i'm posting what i have so far

I took you to a roots concert last night and
you rocked and rolled inside of me to
the vibration of an afro and and a lazy downbeat
there are moments when we are thicker than blood

mostly you sleep through the days but
take the time in the couch ridden evening
to tap out a hello and a word or two into my poetry
from a bubbled out home of my water
