I do believe that discovering I am capable of getting completely smashed without falling asleep first (contrary to what I had previously thought) is a good way to kick off the new year. I got awfully fucking sleepy at one point, but I took some time off from my drink with a cup of water. I'm not sure I qualified as awake for the rest of the night

Sounds like a way fun party. We stayed home and went to bed early, like the old farts we are.
