Just a few quick thoughts on tonight's episode, which I totally enjoyed. Except for the Rose bits, but what did you expect? And I say 'quick', but do I ever actually mean it?

I'm half convinced Martha invented Tom (not really but!)

Actually I thought it was nice that she thought of her mother and went back home - because it shows she and her mother are that much closer after the YTNW. And also, I suspect the YTNW really hit Francine hard - knowing she was responsible for betraying Martha to the Master and then worrying about her daughter all through that dreadful year - and I bet Martha knows that too, so it seems right that she thought of her mum at that point - knowing Francine must be more than a bit freaked at it being the end of the world again!

And I'm TOTALLY with you on the rubbish "most loyal companion" business...

Oh, I think it was really nice too, don't get me wrong. There's absolutely nothing wrong with her going home to her mum, I think it speaks volumes of their relationship and of Martha's character.

I just also happen to think that if it had been possible, the first place Martha would have chosen to teleport to would have been the Tardis and the Doctor (mostly because his assistance is obviously very important). And then probably her mum's house, since obviously getting to the Tardis at that point was out of the question. Not Tom at all.

Yes - I think she'd have gone to the TARDIS if she could...

Hi, here from who_daily. What does LAWL stand for? And I agree with you on the possibility of the specials taking place in the past.
