There are some good alternate history novels that posit exactly this. Fun reading!

It's an interesting read. I can say happily enough the alternate "true" events of the Revolutionary war were actually taught to me in what I believe was probably my only real honest US history class I took in high school. :)

It would be interesting to visit an alternate reality and see how it would have evolved differently.
You didn't even address the concept of the Queen etc, moving here and your new capitol being somewhere like....New York *L* Now that would be a hoot....

But in the end in the reality we're stuck with as Craig would say ...."we didn't want your puny country anyway" ;)

Essentially the Revolutionary War was a world war in a bit. Because from what I was taught in my American Military History class, everyone that got their asses kicked in the Seven Years War by Britain wanted their piece of revenge.

Also, speaking from an American view, I am glad we did not continue our membership of the empire, just for the simple fact that we can't handle being a bunch of pussies on Britain's dog leash like our neighbors up north. JK :P
