Bike wrecks sucked. I've been in a few. I am a retard for not wearing a helmet, but I have been blessed to not encounter any head injuries in the bike wrecks I've had. I've banged up my knees pretty hard, that's about it.

And not only does it suck riding in the rain, it can be scary, pending on the amount of traffic at that time.

Pat, you're right. and there are no two ways about it - I was riding too fast for the conditions.

Re helmets . . . I'd consider wearing one if I were you - I'd've really banged my bonce yesterday but for mine.

I hope you feel all better soon, especially your leg.

Sometimes I think I should wear a helmet all the time. :P

Thankyou all.

Sus, my head is ok today - a bit fuzzy, but that's all. took the day off as my leg is still crap and my neck has (predictably) joined in now.

EDIT: My head IS fuzzy - I typed Dawn, not Sus, originally!

Ouch! I hope you're alright! Tough as old boots and all that? ;)

Anyways, I'm so glad you wear a helmet. I get so stressed out when people bike everywhere without one. Several of my colleagues do it and I get so worried, especially when the weather is rotten...
