Thanks for the summary Matt. At least I now know where the Cam is. But what happened in the WOD itself? Was it the ultimate end of the world? Did Caine Arise? Lilith emerge? Winter come? The Wyrm devour? And the Weaver complete her web?
Basically can't be arsed buying the books cause I don't play anymore but want to know whats happened in them *g*
I only got the gehenna book so I'm not sure about the main wod and well I couldn't be arsed reading most of it..
but basically it gave a number of different story endings and gave a lot of background possibles and info so you could run your own ending should you wish.. that sounds great however in many respects it reads like its been written by someone on drugs or some other binge High write a load of bollocks with great enthusiasm, comedown cold turkey/hangover I can't be fucked with this you all die as lasombra mutilates your bodies.. type of deal (okay thats a little OTT but you get the idea). That said it does have some nice ideas such as slowly stripping disciplines away from characters starting with those closest to caine in gen ie month one anyone at 1st generation loses a point off of their highest discipline, month 2 anyone at 2nd gen etc etc.
sadly cam didn't go for it (though playing an elder I'm somewhat releaved.)

The old WOD is Star Wars. It was fantastic and breathtaking when it came out, changed the world and shaped a lot of people's early experiences. Sure it's a bit bloated now with all the canonical materials, the comics, games, cards, collectables etc, but what the hey.
The New WOD is Phantom Menace. A lot seems familiar, it looks pretty, but while it apes the thing you used to love it lacks something, mostly soul.

cynic :-)
Though in ways you have a point, then again I've noticed as I get older it is much harder to get that same enthusiasm for games that I got when I first entered the comic shops as a kid.
Parts of it are perhaps "the game they should have made when they made V:tm" other parts I wish they had been more adventurous with. Junking clans and disciplines and going for some other manner of dealing with vampiric powers for example would have been good.. but then what keeps the most fan base?
hi Dan... (and yes, I'm aware it has taken me 4 months to locate this post)
Changelings - nothing as yet, still running until 2006 at the earliest. Haven't worked out how to destroy the world yet in that venue, but since we'll be the last oWoD game running technically I do get to make it go boom.
As for the new world, couldn't really comment. Not read the books yet.
In other news... do you still have my satyr book, and whatever other changeling books I lent you?

And Justin Achilli is Jar Jar Binks.
