Medicine Man
One area of our family life that falls into Chad's domain is medications.
If you ask me what our children are allergic to, what they're currently taking, how much they're currently taking, anything to do with medications, I look at Chad and say, "Ummm..." And just like that, Chad rattles off all the pertinent details complete with metric dosages. ( Read more... ) -

A couple weekends ago, I helped my sister out with her mini sessions at Avila Beach. It was so much fun to see her work. And, since I was there, I sneaked the kids in for a micro mini session.

Better Homes and Gardens recently published an article on their website listing the "Ten Commandments of Dining Out with Little Kids". One of the commandments? Thou Shalt Not Breastfeed at the Table. The author's suggestion? Go use the restroom.

My mom tells a story that when my dad was young and on the rodeo circuit, he carried two suitcases. One was filled with clothes and the other with books.

Food Inc
I bit the bullet. I girded my stomach and finally watched a movie that I'd been dreading. I worried that it would be guaranteed to put me off meat products from now until I form my utopian society.
What? You don't plan a utopian society where you're the benevolent dictator on your morning commute? Weird.
