Ok, an informal poll...

So, I'm toying with the thought of doing American Idol auditions. They're August 21st in Birmingham. What do you guys think? Should I do it? Do I have ANY chance of making it past the first round? Lemme know what you're thinking. I'm totally undecided right now.

I know several people who've wanted to do it in the past, but we were too old (before the raised the age limit) then, and now that it's being held here, we're again too old (even after the raised age limit).

I know at least one person who auditioned for the 4th season in New Orleans but didn't make it through, hubby used to be good friends with Bo Bice back in his college days, and Taylor is a friend of many of my friends (yet somehow I've never met him)

Just don't be the next William Hung ok? ;)

Go for it, girl! I've obviously never heard you sing, but I'm sure your voice is fabulous! Do it! It's something you'll never forget, and how many people do you know who can say they've done it?? Who cares if you don't make it past the first round?? Having the guts to do it at all is such an accomplishment.

I think you should go for it - nothing to lose, and as the above poster said, how many people can say they've done it?

I too haven't heard you sing, but I'm sure you should give it a go! :)
