Ok, so, I applied for an apartment in 5 Pts today. Keep your fingers crossed for me! It's LOVELY. $590 a month, small one bedroom, 2 blocks from Zydeco (yay!). If all goes well, I could be in before the end of the month. Good Lord, I cannot wait (yes, I mean that as a prayer ( Read more... )

I will cross my fingers on the apartment. It would be cool to live in that part of B'ham, I just hope it's safe enough. I will definitely come visit once you move! I miss the town.
When are the auditions for Idol?

omg the end of the month! just think, it could all be over so soon. i hope you get it. of course if you're going to la for who knows how long... well we'll take nanny lol. well if you go visit it again, hit me up. why do people keep asking if you're going to be safe in b-ham? SO does not put to rest my fears!!!

Five Points is a busy part of town... There are some homeless in the area, and it's near UAB, so of course there's a little crime, but my apartment is in a secure building (you need a code to get into the building). And you know me, I don't do anything stupid like going out by myself late at night (except maybe to the grocery store, but I don't go TOO late). Also, it's not on a back street, it's right on 19th street (a thoroughfare), so it's well patrolled.

And remember, Suzy, if I go to LA, then AMBER will have to take Nanny for a little while. You were the first one to ask. ;-)

And auditions are on the 21st, but I'd have to get my ticket and wristband on the 19th or 20th, but if I were to get it on the 20th, there'd be no guarantee that I'd get an audition.

Now... suggestions for an outfit?

I'm so STOKED that you're trying out!!!

I'm also pumped that you're gonna be back in town! I drive through your new neighborhood almost every day on the way to work.

I play that song on the piano sometimes, but I don't have anyone to sing it with me... Maybe after your auditions, we can get together and jam. :)

I'm outta town on Saturday, and busy with my musical pursuits on Sunday, but I'll be thinkin' about you on Monday as you sing :)
