Tonight I watched Dead Man. Tomorrow night my Jarmuschathon continues with Night On Earth and Down By Law.

Watched maybe a half hour of dead man and was bored to tears. Perhaps i wasn't in the mood. That and missing the beginning was no good.

I thought it was great, but slow for sure. As you get more invested in it, the speed doesn't matter so much, and I think it pairs well with the fading in and out... gives it a poetry-like quality, broken into verses.

I saw Down By Law a few nights ago, and liked it, but didn't like it as much as anything else I'd seen by Jarmusch (especially not Dead Man). Hope you like Roberto Benignni.

last time i was at the dmv the person who helped me was a grumpy seventy-year-old lady wearing an obnoxious pearl necklace and a "vote for pedro" tee shirt.
