Very little in the way of luxuries are had, and she still isn't used to food that isn't rationed, but she tries at least to not be frivolous even despite the fact she can buy food without concern here

[Nikola has actually left the Sanctuary today. He probably meant to go buy wine somewhere, but he found someone selling bread and there were birds about. Now he's perched on a bench feeding several pigeons.

He didn't mean to throw bread at you, Peggy.]

[Peggy barely manages to avoid being hit by the bread, and she scowls at the man, hands settling on her hips.] Do you mind? You should be more careful about where you're throwing that.

[Oh, British and fiery.]

And you should be more careful where you walk.

Oh, hardly! There's a very small chance of anyone expecting to have bread tossed at them on a walk in the city. [She crosses her arms before frowning at the pigeons.]

I wasn't tossing it at you.

Well, you were tossing it bloody well far enough! [She tuts, rolling her eyes and turning to head away.]

That's because the birds were scared. At least tell me your name before you stomp off.

[She scowls a bit as she turns back, watching him for a moment before she tucks hair behind her ear and speaks.] Carter. Margaret Carter. Most people call me Peggy.
