I would be willing to offer my assistance, Commander. Though I have a few questions first, if you don't mind.

I'll answer them as best as I can, ma'am.

What are your goals for putting together a militia like this? [Because the recent takeovers are still fresh in her mind and she's suspicious as hell.]

[renegadeparagon]

To defend the civilians that can't protect themselves. We need a strong, prepared front for future battles. We've had a taste of the war to come but that's not the end of it.

[cigarboss]

And you have a contingency plan if things...go south, as they did before?

[renegadeparagon]

We have a plan, but it's better to have something that everyone can weigh in on before we go about setting anything in stone. We're all used to doing things our own way, and being in control of our own situations. I'd sure like the opinions of other officers before anything is decided on.

Thank you, ma'am. I'd be glad to have you on our side, when things get bad again. We can work out all the paperwork soon and this may be presumptuous but I'm guessing you're a fairly high ranking officer, so hopefully we can arrange a squad of your own to lead. Maybe a platoon if we get enough soldiers.

Not presumptuous at all. [If fact she'd be slightly offended if he assumed otherwise.] I'd be grateful for whatever position you can give me. If not a full squad, I do have experience with small, elite forces, particularly involving infiltration and sneaking missions.
