[Take a stroll through one of Mandalus' many parks this week and you may find yourself stumbling upon a bit of free public entertainment.

Today, the sound of a catchy tune and the sharp notes of an unusual wind instrument can be heard fluttering through the park, the source of the delightful commotion a certain performing automaton, who was ( Read more... )

[Boss had just been passing through, honest. But the song had caught her attention, completely different from the kind of music she was used to back home, and she'd paused at the back of the crowd to listen to the rest. She'd turned to leave once the man - machine? - had finished, but she paused at his question, looking back over her shoulder curiously.

It's totally not her volunteering, though, don't you even dare, metal man.]

[Alright, if he insists. She pretends to look skeptical. It's not that hard.] Even robots? I don't believe you.

Even robuts! It's true! [And Rabbit can't help but let out a jerky, stuttering laugh, all too pleased with his crowd, even if The Boss didn't seem quite as into the whole performance as he may have hoped from a unwilling participant.]

That's right, l-l-lady! Lemme tell ya 'bout the time I first really fell hard. B-b-but hey! Maybe ya all would enjoy it if I sang 'bout it instead…

[Rabbit may need to practice with her some more, get her into the spirit of the performance. Haha.]

Oh, please do. I'm sure the rest of your audience is waiting for the show.

[Maybe one day they can start their own travelin' comedic duo!]

As th' l-lady commands! [And stopping only to adjust his hat and to allow a small malfunction to jolt through his systems and pass, Rabbit launches into a nostalgic little ditty written about past wars. The performance was fair with the copper automaton stepping into the main role, certainly missing something without his brother's harmonies or instruments, but the emotion in that darling tune was as strong as ever.

The Boss was free to stay for the song and the rest of the show or to slip off in the crowd whenever she liked. Rabbit would keep his further heckling to a minimum before the rest of his crowd drifted away.]

[The Boss stays to listen to the song, of course. She's not that rude. And Rabbit certainly knows how to pick just the right songs, if unintentionally. She'd give him a tip if she had anything on her besides her credit card. But it's the thought that counts, right?

If Rabbit checks his donation box later, he'll find a crumpled piece of paper that just says "IOU -The Boss" on it. She'll see you around, Rabbit.]
