For the Brotherhood:
[Ezio is stood near the Codex Wall when he calls all his assassins to him, in Mario's Study in the Villa. He has a new plan, a new direction for the Order, and while he has discussed some of this with Desmond, he is certain this is the best for them all.]Lately, the Order has become stagnant. We do not have cause to fight here

[ She sits cross-legged on a corner of his desk, elbows resting on her knees, because she can get away with it just listening to everything Ezio says. It's clear there's a moment of conflict going on. Her face is easy to read here. Back the System. But ... then again, if they do, if she does, and they can get a better footing to win the war, then all their worlds are safe. Her family is safe, all of it. Her actual family, the crew, the assassins.
But what can she do? Wouldn't they still need things made, fixed? ]

[ Desmond sits on the desk in Mario's Study, his elbows on his knees, looking down as he listens to Ezio talk. At the last part, he finally looks up, a frown on his face. It's clear he doesn't really understand why they are backing the System. ]
By "back", you mean like "we're going to keep an eye on you" right? [ He doesn't trust them at all. Then again, Desmond just doesn't trust easy. ]

Partly. We need to back them and support them, but be prepared to take them out of power if they go too far. Our best chance now is to fight this war, we cannot sit at the sidelines and not fight.

You sure we need to be that tricky with these guys? We don't know what they're fully capable of, Ezio. [ Since when is he the voice of reason here? ] Did we forget that these guys brought us here and can send us back whenever the hell they want? What have they done to actually prove that they need our help to turn the favor towards them?

[He starts to pace a little bit.] If we turn the people's attention away from hounding the System, then perhaps we can deal with this problem sooner rather than later. The Entity says that their device is compromised, that they cannot pick and choose any longer, but this is information we cannot prove nor deny. Much of their information lacks evidence for or against it. For now, we need to deal with the Serpent, and if the System believes the people are on their side, they will be less likely to abuse their power in order to make people comply ( ... )

So we're going to be the secret police, basically? [Kate asks from where she's leaning against the desk, arms crossed beneath her bust. She hasn't been able to do the assassin stuff as much as she'd like. Her responsibilities with the Sanctuary and all.]

[ With a bag slung over his shoulder, Sam was a little preoccupied, occasionally pausing in his walk to look around him. In one hand is the device with the map function pulled up, the other is a small computer device that he had found that came with the arcade when it showed up. It was the same one he used to mess with ENCOM that night and now he was using it to gather information on the Network where he could. Mainly he was trying to see if he could pick up anything with it that he could put to use for his own project. Clearly this means he should be bothered. ]

[Ezio had followed him, of course, and had waited to watch what the man was doing. It was fascinating and he couldn't help but equate it to the things he'd seen in the Vault. Still, it was best not to think about that. It often just arose questions he didn't want to fuss over.
Keeping his hands on sight, and his hood up, he nodded politely to the young man.] You created this technology yourself?

[Boss is in the Venetian District, doing some exploring of her own. This is the area she's spent the least amount of time in thus far, and obviously that must be remedied if she wants to understand the city thoroughly. This is the district that puzzles her the most - why create a near clone of an old period of Earth history? It's pretty, yes, but seems random at best.
When she comes upon the main temple in the area, she stops, regarding it carefully as if debating whether to try and enter.]

It is a remarkable building, and I hear it respects all faiths. I am not a believer myself, but the inside is far more impressive.

A multipurpose church? [She turns back to face the building.] I've never been inside it.
