It would seem that our captors are willing to do almost anything to gain a positive outlook from us.

[ Mr. Gold holds up the phone, showing the shop that he is standing in. Various items are all over the walls and counters, even on display in the glass cases. ]As many of you are unaware, this shop is a very important one. In it houses items that ( Read more... )

[ Due to her impeccable timing, the curtain to the back of the shop can be seen opening just as he had finished with that video recording. Belle had her tied back so that the curls wouldn't get in the way as she worked. There was a notebook, opened, in her arm and a pen in her other hand, the tip of it tapping against the page thoughtfully. She had offered to help catalog what was in the shop, both the expected and the unexpected items, seeing as she had that much time on her hands. ]

Rumple? Do you have a moment?

[ Rumpelstiltskin turns as he finishes the feed, smiling softly at her. ]

Hey. [ Then a nod. ] Of course I do, Belle. What do you need?

Well, I've almost finished checking everything on the list for the back room. And I made sure to note the ones that weren't on there too.

[ Once she was standing next to him, she held it up for him to see. ] What should I do with the ones that weren't here before and aren't on display out here?

Thank you. [ He raises his hand, gingerly putting it on her shoulder as he looks the list over. He may not need a list to tell what belongs in his shop and what doesn't, but he is grateful for Belle's help. ] If they are from our land, then keep them where they are at. There is no need to show anyone here that there is magic stored in these items. Not until I learn what sort of magic this land has.

[Mary Margaret's expression is guarded but she's definitely curious and more than a little bit surprised.] Buildings from our homes can show up here?

It would certainly seem so. A few others like us have had them appear as well. [ He pauses. ] And how are you, Mary Margaret?

It's almost as if they want to mollify us with things like this. [She purses her lips a little bit.] I'm fine. How are you?

They want this cage to seem less of a cage. Why else would you make your prisoners comfortable? Your husband certainly wasn't as thoughtful as they are. [ There is an extreme dislike of cages here. ] Oh, for the better, I suppose. At least I can move around in this prison.

[Dean is sat at the kitchen table at home, a book open in front of him, but he's not paying it much attention.]

So, things just show up there? What's the catch?

That all depends on the item, Mr. Winchester.

Figures. [He shrugs.] I'll bite. I've got some time, I'll come see if you've got anything I recognise.

I would be more than happy to return anything of yours. It's most likely taking up valuable space in my shop.

[Elizabeth frankly, can't leave something like that be. Not when there is little enough from home that she cares about here and that which she does she couldn't stand falling into anyone else's hands. So she dresses in her usual amount of damask and silk and jewels to pay him a visit. The tiger cub that had taken to following her everywhere trailing behind her, batting at her skirts. Some part of her, and no small part at all, on the defensive, not after a statement like that. Not when someone who is not her or her family having something precious to her. So she opens the door to his shop, the cub ducking past her feet inside ahead of her.]

Master Gold?

[ Mr. Gold looks up from his inventory book with a smile. His hand grasps the cane at his side. Something tells him he'll need to walk around for this one. ]

Ah, Your Majesty. To what do I owe the pleasure?

[She smiled, pleasant enough. Though some part of her was still on the defensive. She could play as much as she liked at being the same, but there was a deeply distilled arrogance about certain matters.]

You made such a bold statement on the video that I could not leave such alone.

A bold statement... but a true statement. Several items in my shop are not from my world. Perhaps one or two may be from yours, Your Majesty.

[ Mr. Gold gestures to his shop. Please, feel free to browse. ]

That's the shop you mentioned before, isn't it? [Tilting his head.] There isn't a time limit on how long they're allowed to stay, is there?

alwayshasaprice November 16 2012, 05:53:04 UTC
It is indeed. [ The caution in his voice is all too present. ] Not unless my shop gets crowded. Do you think something of yours is here, Merlin?

[The matter of him having something there actually strikes him, and he thinks on it for a second, a brow raised.]

I'm not quite sure, I'd have to drop by and have a look for myself. [An audible pause.] I presume you want something in turn, if my suspicions prove true?

You're more than welcome to stop by. [ Mr. Gold smiles. ] Only if you want it back.
