[When the video clicks on, it's Elizabeth, but she's... not just her, she's dressed like a queen again, not the simpler plain dresses she keeps herself too. Cream silk decorated with pearls, her hair neatly arranged underneath the shining crown of diamonds set in gold. If it's heavy, it doesn't show, she tilts her head up, and she's elated, her ( Read more... )

[Snow felt awkward simply turning up, but she had to. This was another Queen, and goodness she needed company like hers. She had a gift, something small and simple, a jewellery box, but it was always the thought that counted, as far as Mary Margaret was concerned.

She wore a white dress with a simple design, and while she wasn't quite able to dress to the standard she did while in her Kingdom, she at least looked pretty. Seeking out Elizabeth, she kept the gift in a little bag over her arm, and curtseyed as soon as she was within the other Queen's presence.]

Queen Elizabeth, I wish to give you my congratulations on ten years of your reign.

[Elizabeth is surprised, she had not expected to see anyone so nice or respectful at all. But she kept that to herself and returned the curtsey with a polite bow of her head. Anyone who did such in greeting her deserved manners.]

And you have my thanks for such, my lady. It is very kind of you to come.

[Mary Margaret's smile widens at the returned curtsey and she soon offers the small bag with the gift inside it. She has no doubt that Elizabeth has a magnitude of riches, but every gift is worth something, even if it's simply a symbol of friendship, in the end.]

A small gift, in honour of the day, Your Majesty. [She hesitates for a second then blinks, shaking her head faintly.] I'm sorry, where are my manners... My name is Mary Margaret... [Dare she offer her other name? Best not to, for now.]

[Gifts of friendship meant just as much to Elizabeth, because to her at least, they were gifts of fealty. Sometimes falsely given, but still.]

I did not expect... [she takes it the bag, opening it carefully and beaming when she saw what was inside.] It's beautiful, thank you again, Lady Mary.

[Elizabeth's eyebrows raise for a moment then laughs all the same.] Yes, I, the first Elizabeth. Though I understand it another one will follow some many years from my reign.

A-a queen? [Consider one copper automaton to be absolutely taken back with that information. Sure, Elizabeth looked the part of a queen and there was no doubt that regality had been written deep down into her very genetic material with that kind of bearing, but Rabbit hadn't quite expected that plot twist.

Aaaand now he is going over anything and everything he might have said in their incredibly brief previous encounter. ...When he'd been fighting with her charge.

Fuck.] I s-swear I had no idea or I would'a addressed ya more properly th' first time we t-talked.

Sir, make no apology, for I made no mention of it. I had other things on my mind -- and I've found that there is real polite way to say it, as it has no real bearing here beyond the days like this, and only as a matter of personal celibration. [There's a polite bow of her head to him, and she's observing as she ever is. Her bright eyes keen, because really, she's never seen such, not even here.

It's fascinating to her, completely and utterly. She hangs off these things as much as she had as a child, all that was new and different and she would never see for herself.]

But I do not know your name, sir, and I should like to know it? For truly I have never met someone so fascinating to gaze upon?

Th' name's Rabbit, Queenie- [Rabbit's jaw immediately clenched shut with a distinct snap at that accidental slip, the affectionate nickname to whine from his speaker certainly inappropriate considering they were just stumbling headfirst into introductions. Oopsie. It seemed the robot's natural inclination (or perhaps it was all programming?) for nicknames seemed to sometimes be incredibly inconvenient.] Uh, an' w-w-what should I call you, Miss? [Your Majesty? Your Highness? Queen Bee? Lizzie? Best to just ask and get a proper answer straight from her lips instead of making up things inside of his gear-driven mind, right?] G-glad t' hear I didn't c-cause any real offense.

[And then her final comment comes and Rabbit's mismatched, glowing optics brighten slightly, a startled puff of steam hissing from the antique vents embedded in his cheeks ( ... )

[Elizabeth took note of the oddness of his voice, how it rose and fell, finding it more and more fascinating. For truly as she knew that Jarvis wasn't real, nor David from the brief time she knew him... this was so much more intriguing. Human, in some ways, but gorgeous beyond that. So brightly coloured and changing with so many parts. She felt like she could watch him for hours, to watch those parts churn and clunk.] Truly, most call me Queenie, though that is more affection. The formal way is Your Majesty the first meet, my lady, madam or ma'am there after. But please, call me as you will...

[she lent forward again, leaning on her hand as she watched the steam hiss. Oh my was that him taking a compliment? She wanted to tease him so more, just to see it all, but that would be a little mean.] No, no offence at all. I pray you forget such, it was simply something that happened.
