Second Snowfall | Alternate Universe | Video/Action

[Snow is different, entirely different. Unlike the woman everyone saw arrive, Snow's hair is very nearly to her waist and curly, instead of the little pixie cut she had arrived with. Not wearing normal street clothes -- her jeans, and blouse and cardigan combo she so favours -- she wears instead a white dress, cinched in at the waist, the skirt ( Read more... )

[ Among her many, many, duties was to always be at the beck and call of her lady. It was natural after all, what when someone carries the label of 'lady-in-waiting', especially to one as powerful as this particular one. Upon hearing Snow White summon here over the device, the young woman wasted no time and hastily made her way to The Temple after recognizing it on the video feed. While crowds of people were rushing to leave the temple grounds the russet-haired woman made her way past them.

Belle followed through the doors that had been left open as her pace quickened. The ends of her emerald and gold cloak just barely touched the ground, partially hiding the blue dress she wore beneath the heavy cloth. Upon reaching the pulpit she drew back her hood and bowed before her Queen. ]

My apologies, my lady. I had not meant to be away from your side for so long.

[Snow is seated upon the altar, shoes off and left discarded on the floor, and she has taken only one bite out of her apple before that has been dropped on the floor too. She watches Belle walk in, and lower her hood, and bow, and Snow scowls the entire time.]

Where were you? I told you to be back before the hour, and you're late. [She gets down from where she was sitting and approaches, barefoot.]

[ She remains where she is, her head down with eyes staring at the floor, unmoving as the other woman approaches. There was nothing to be seen in her expression to betray any form of emotion she might be feeling. ]

I beg for your forgiveness, my lady. It was not my intention to be late in returning. I had been held up in my search in the city, seeking out the information you had requested of me to find. There seems to be much going on in the city and confusion amongst them had resulted in many delays.

[ Any emotion she had was carefully hidden away. Locked up inside, leaving only the quiet, obedient servant that stood there before Snow White. ]

You are forgiven, Belle.

[It's said softly, almost as she would speak before she forgot Charming, and she rests her hand on Belle's arm, smiling lightly.] Tell me about the city, what is happening? [She paces away, going around the altar to find the religious books, examining each one and setting it aside.] None of them are worthwhile, they're all silly stories. You'd think at least one book would hold some kind of magic.

[Have a very confused, concerned best friend.]

Snow? What happened to you? Your hair. Your.... How do you know Belle?

[SO CONFUSED RN.]

[A scowl for you, Red.]

You are brave to address me by my name, peasant. [She scoffs a bit.] Belle is my lady-in-waiting.

If you are looking for Prince James, he is likely still locked in my palace in the Kingdom, so begone, Red.

[Red's eyebrows go up.] Peasant? I'm sorry, did you hit your head?

Wait, you think you locked up Charming? [She shakes her head.] No, I'm not going to begone. Not until you snap out of...whatever this is.

No, I didn't hit my head!

[She winces almost visibly at the word "Charming" and shakes her head with a tense sigh.] The fool Prince is locked away in the palace, as I said. And I thought you could hear better than the rest of us.

Snow White? Really?

[He doesn't take orders from anyone, much less fairytale characters, but they'll get to that soon enough.]

It's a problem I have when people are being ridiculous.

You should probably find a healer, then, shouldn't you? What is so ridiculous about my name?

And to what pleasure do we owe the presence of Her Majesty? Just the simple hand of your guidance to inform the people of how their religion is wrong? That is heartless. Even for you.

I don't think it's right to lie to them and let them lie to themselves in the idea that they might have hope or anything but sorrow left.

There is a difference between lying and leaving their worlds intact. There was a time you understood such kindness. Were you not the fairest of them all?

Is there anyone fairer? [She shakes her head with a faint sigh.] What point is there to kindness when it does nothing to cure sorrow?

You should be careful, your Majesty. You own a kingdom. You do not own faith.

[Yes, the General is not pleased to see people being interrupted at prayer.]

I am telling them what they need to hear. Sorrow is all they will ever know if they bury themselves in praying to someone who wouldn't ever answer.

You do not know how He answers them. As you have stopped speaking to anyone of sense and reason, including the Gods. [Castiel's eyes blazed, and his Grace with it.] You leave those of the Temple alone, your Majesty. You leave them to their peace and contemplation, or you answer to me.

I answer to no one! [She slams her hands down on the altar she's sat on, her poor unfortunate servant quivering as the room shakes with the blast of her magic, though it's not nearly as practised as the magic Regina once used.] You think I fear you? You think I would be afraid of death? I welcome it.
