[It’s a rocky outcrop in the desert. The city stinks like all the filth of humanity, and there’s only so long Gabriel can stand that before wanting to crush it all into dust, buildings and people and steel. Out here is better- the air is dry and pure and hot enough to suck all the liquid from your breath. And from blood ( Read more... )

What the hell are you going on about this time? I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as a 'Righteous Demon.'

Because you're an expert, aren't you Des?

All I'm doing is pointing out the contradictions in it. [ Heaven doesn't exist all Biblical-ly in his universe okay. ]

That depends on the rounds and the favor.

Don't tell me you've only just realised the Bible is full of shit, Desmond. What else do you expect when a lot of humans get together to edit a holy book?

You name the rounds. I'll name the favour.

Gabriel.

[Yeah, General Castiel is not pleased.]

This is not the time. This is definitely not the place.

You aren't the one calling the shots, baby bro.

You should have done what Uriel asked you in the first place. You could have helped us. Don't you want to see the Family back together? Or is your special bond with the demon worth that much to you?

As far as this place is concerned, and anywhere in the Earthly realms ... yes. I am. Things have changed, Gabriel, since you were last in Heaven. And I say - we are not in the right place for this.

[His eyes narrowed briefly.] Uriel proved himself to be a traitor. As did you. And Lucifer. And the cost of billions upon billions of lives is not worth the Family. Or have you forgotten we are not in our own realm? [Blue eyes narrow.] You will leave Dean out of this.

Please, you, leading the Host? I don't think that's going to help anyone. I don't think Daddy is going to be pleased with you either, when He gets His dead-beat ass back home.

No. I refused to let my brother Fall alone. You won't know, Castiel, how close we were before. But I am not going to betray my brother, not for anything. They aren't worth it, Castiel, the humans. Have you seen them? What they've done and what they're doing? How Dean repays what you did for him? I don't want any more of the family to die without reason, Castiel. And Dean would happily see you ripped apart.

This is Michael and Lucifer's fight, Cas. It always was. Can't we let them get on with it?
