[Jo starts the video by clearing her throat and glancing off to the side of the screen, as if checking some notes.]

So that was interesting, huh? I think a lot of us could use a bit of a break, so half-price drinks here at The Roadhouse for a week. Bring a friend.

[Now the camera is picked up and moved to show a very accurately and legibly ( Read more... )

[Dean needed a few minutes. He hadn't drank much at all since the whole ordeal ended, and that whole week he hadn't felt the need to turn to alcohol, and even now, as he sits in a dark corner of the Roadhouse, his glass of whiskey just isn't satisfying. Maybe it never really has been, maybe it's meant to shut out the Hell in his head, but it's not working, not now he's seen what he could have been.

He's afraid for Sam's sanity, and he's worried about Castiel and Jo, and even about Gabriel, but he's not going to voice any of it. Instead, he'll sit and finish his drink before he heads back to Bobby's house. Maybe Sam will have gotten some rest and they can have dinner, but he doubts it.]

...Just the one today?

[Keep it business related, keep it neutral.]

[He looks up at her, gives her a quick, forced smile and nods a little.]

I gotta head back soon. I just needed a break.

Ya can take a bottle back for Sam, if you want.

[She assumes Sam is at Bobby's too. It makes sense.]

Come get it if you decide to take it. [She'll return to behind the counter and leave him be. She knows that forced smile, and she doesn't feel like fighting him for a few words.]

[Despite how often he prefers to be trapped within his own thoughts, today is just not one of those days. If anything, Rabbit would really like to be anywhere but within his own glitching, gear-driven mind this particular evening. Which is the only reason why he's here, at a bar, a place he obviously has no reason to be in considering he can't drink, but the promise of company is too tempting to ignore.

So the copper robot is currently standing beside the jukebox, hogging it a little as he browses the limited selection for something he can tap his toes too.]

[ Rabbit isn't too odd a sight for Kaidan, though he is somewhat surprised to see something resembling the simple droids from home here in a bar, contemplating the jukebox so seriously. It reminds him of EDI, somewhat, which hurts to think about when he remembers her situation. But given the robot likely can't participate in the drinking part of this affair, if he's got a consciousness and will, like Kaidan assumes he does, the major figures he must be here for another reason - which is what has him joining Rabbit by the jukebox, book tucked under his arm. ]

Not finding anything you like? [ There's a small smile to go with the question, tired but friendly all the same. ]

[The copper automaton grins at the interruption, glad for any distraction and conversation that the stranger is bound to provide. His glowing optics dim to a more normal level, or at least a level that will keep from blinding the man, before he waves a set of spindly fingers towards the jukebox.]

N-nah, they got a few nice tunes, but just was disappointed t' see nuthin' from me an' my band. B-but right now I can't decide between a lil' r-rock or a lil' roll. Any requests?

[ Kaidan's smile widens a little when the robot speaks, eyes turning to the jukebox to consider the selection. The selection's so old he doesn't recognize a lot of it, but he really doubts the music is the point of any of this right now. ]

Can never go wrong with a little rock. You're in a band?

[ For the duration of the week Death had not done or said a thing. Of, he certainly observed the on-goings of the people courtesy of the device, but he held no interest in interfering or even bothering to be involved. When everyone was returning to their normal selves however the Horseman was, once again, out and about. And in this case, seated at a table by himself, nursing a drink as he is still debating on what to order. ]

[Perhaps she should have expected this eventually.]

Will you want another drink before you figure out what you want?

[ In life there are but two guarantees: death and taxes. And it isn't April.

Death doesn't bother to look up. Instead he's still reading over the menu. ]

Yes to a refill. And an order of cheese fries for now.

[Jo disappears for a moment to grab the drink to refill his glass and nods.]

It'll be about ten minutes.

[ Welp. What a crazy week. And that was saying something considering the amount of crazy already going on in Gene's world. It also brought up a good question of exactly he was supposed to police this level of crazy - maybe he should stock up on elephant tranquillisers next time and put all the crazies to sleep until it passes.

He needs a drink - or six. ]

[ Kaidan's not usually a drinker - not this type of drinker, anyway, the kind who drinks away their woes - but with what happened that week... maybe a drink or two won't hurt. It's not even what he did, so much as everything he remembered and felt that keeps coming back to bother him. The hate for Shepard and the Alliance. The instinctual wariness of anything inhuman. And Ashley, Jesus, Ashley. What a fucking way for Virmire to come back and haunt him. (It never left, but now it's back at the very front of his mind, the 'what if's and the survivor's guilt. He's always forced to survive when those he cares for throw themselves into the line of fire and jaws of death ( ... )

Do you want another?

That'd be appreciated, thanks. Got almost a full house on your hands here, huh?

[She disappears for a second before returning with a bottle to refill his glass. She shrugs with a smirk.]

Cheap alcohol brings the people out. I think it's a rule.
