[Finally finding down time from everything, Shepard headed for the bridge, intent on just sitting in Joker's seat and relaxing in the quiet while he got some work down, but as he headed into the small room at the front of the ship, just off the CIC, he was met with a familiar face instead.]

Kerrigan. It's good to see you. [He patted her arm as he moved to sit in the pilot's seat, watching the snow through the cockpit window.] We're going to have to get a team to clean this off the ship, or she'll probably be damaged.

Commander.

[ Kerrigan only blinks, her eyes staring at the falling snow. He couldn't really sneak up on her. ]

They don't build your ships to handle weather conditions?

Sure they do, but she's not made to sit out in the snow. I just know if Joker was here, he'd be complaining as loud as possible.

It sounds like you're doing the complaining for him.

[ Kaidan hasn't had much interaction with Kerrigan yet, something he feels needs to be fixed. She's part of the crew, and her and Shepard are friendly, so it's only natural he get to know her, too. And sure, maybe talking to her is awkward in its own special way, after that week, but Kaidan's working around getting over that in general. So when he comes to stand beside her, arms folded over his chest and a small smile on his face, there's no sense of unease or awkwardness coming off him at all. ]

Always liked the snow. Watching it, anyway. [ A soft chuckle - ] Not much for the cold itself.

[ She nods to him, her eyes staying forward on the snow. Given Kaidan didn't remember his brief stay in Mandalus, Kerrigan had opted it would be best to sit back and let him decide when to talk to her. Being a telepath does give her an unfair advantage. Shepard knows she is, but she's certain Kaidan doesn't know. ]

It's been a long time since I saw real snow. Most of what I see is actually ashes.

[ Kaidan moves to lean against the copilot's chair, where EDI used to sit, keeping his attention on the snow as well. He gives a soft hum to Kerrigan's comment. ]

What caused that? If you don't mind my asking.
