[Snap, crackle, pop. It sounds like a spine's being readjusted, the grinding of bones falling back into place. Then a sigh - long winded and exaggerated. Two foot falls follow and they're crisp, cut -]

[ - sharp. ] Well, that wasn't very nice.

Nice shades.

[The first face that Greed was to be met with in Mandalus was rather an unusual one.

The video feed flickers briefly before focusing in on a face made entirely of copper and silver, two mismatched glowing eyes brightening as steam rose in a lazy wisps from the antique vents embedded in his cheeks as he simply regarded the stranger, a smirk dancing on his crooked mouth.]

Y-y-ya wear yer sunglasses at night too?

[Well, isn't the just something.]

[Copper, wires, silver, and missing the gold. The Sin dip his head and his smile stretches - threatens to split his face open if he were any sort of normal fellow.]

[Good thing his punch card is empty with the option.]

[And he whistles - hoots through his dangerous teeth with a quip.] Now - aren't you interesting.

[Because he's seen living armor before, but this? It's a little different. A little - older. Vents that breathe with an engine's chime and crude steam; eyes that flicker with an energy that he can't help but to swallow back in those thick rims. Sparks of light that shudder in frames of black, pitch them and drink 'em down into that nasty little core.]

[Greed barks his laughter, waves a hand out to send all his leathers pooling at the thick part of his wrist.] Sure. You could say that. But you know, it's a little rude not to introduce yourself first.

[And how could those words not just inflate the copper automaton's ego larger than it already was, his posture straightening with a distinct CREAK as those unblinking optics of his continued to regard the stranger hiding behind shades on the other end of the connection. Interesting was a compliment to the robot. Frightening was a compliment too.

...Well okay, anything that wasn't scrap heap or bucket o' bolts was pretty much enough to draw a lopsided smile onto that misshapen copper countenance of his.

Which was precisely why the metal man's smile only sharpened at that remark of interesting, flashing teeth and the slightest swirl of green corrosion on his chin showing through the small video screen.]

Shore, pal. G-go right on'a 'head. Start up th' introd-duction! Practically wigglin' in anticipation.

[Slit-pupils watch with unbridled fascination at the way Rabbit moves; the way he works. The way current and steam and whatever-else makes him move, makes him gesture. And it's not a program, no. That's real life working the cranks and grinding the gears.]

[It's enough to wet a man's appetite.]

[Or in this case, a particularly avaricious character.]

[Greed tilts his head, shows off his throat to the twitchy little thing on the other side of the line.] Ah-? Did you miss it? The name's Greed.

[Finger raises; cool, swift, liquid motion. Like he's practiced it a thousand times - and probably has. He snaps at the feed, extends an index to Rabbit.] Now - how about you. [Said with an air of sinister, the hiss of devilish flow.]

[Mary Margaret is a little concerned, but she manages a light smile of greeting for the man with the strange smile.]

Welcome to Mandalus... Greed. [Oh, that name is unsettling.] I'm Mary Margaret, if you have any questions, I'll try to help.

[He's not going to even try to hide the lecherous grin; that pull of want, that throbbing sort of desire that seems to snap his teeth tight into a row. A brow quirks up and the other curves down - a comical sort of look on someone less seedy than himself.]

[The Sin bends over his hips, throws an arm out to gesture to the dark. A light sparks and casts him in a pale light.] Mary, huh? Well, lovely - you could answer this for me:

Where exactly are we?

[Snow's face drops into a stern look, something a mother would wear, and she tenses her jaw a little. She's not comfortable, but she's not going to show that.]

Mary Margaret. [Her gaze follows his motions, and his trick with the light.] Mandalus. It's a planet, somewhere in the middle of the whole universe.

[Hands up; a mock surrender.] Mary Margaret, then.

[No intention in harming a woman; verbally or otherwise. And she's spitting venom with that look - he's seen it before. Stern, hard-willed determination that says one thing:]

["You're not exactly welcome."]

[But Greed shrugs it off, pockets both hands and tilts on his heels just so. Whistles loud and proud; let's the noise bounce of the walls.] A planet, huh? Well - no such thing as no such thing, after all.

[Well, now. This is a little bit curious. He's dealt with the Seven Sins before, but he's not so sure this guy is the same Greed he's met only in a different meat suit. No, this guy is definitely more monster than demon.]

Hell of a name you've got there, buddy.

Ah-?

[A jerk of the head and a frown to match; one that isn't exactly unpleasant, more quizzical in nature. Like something's caught his eye for the briefest of seconds. But that innocence fades in a flash-spit fire smile that's definitely no good.]

[Greed slides lazy eyes from behind his shades to look at the new comer on screen.] Only name I have, friend. [A roll of his shoulders and the homunculus throws his muscles up; causes the fur-trim of his vest to expand and coil around the base of his hairline.] Though, it isn't exactly a cute nick-name if you really want to know.

Your parents were high when they named you, huh?

[Dean considers him for a moment. He's big, sure, but he's managed big before, and he's already running through a list of things he might be and checking them off when he decides they're not the right monster. No, this guy is something new, probably something more troublesome.

Hell, he's probably a different incarnation of the Sin itself, and that poses a few problems, but he's not going to worry yet. He's trying to follow Dr. Magnus' advice to be more giving and less trigger happy.] You had the 411 about Mandalus yet?

[Well, isn't this one a charmer.]

[But the question gives birth to something else; a loud boom of laughter. Hands in the pockets, elbows cast out, and Greed throws his head back. Give a good shot of all those pearly-nasties that make up his teeth.]

[Because really, that's a new one.]

[But then he's snapping forward; jerking in a way that's just not normal. And he's a little too close to the feed.] Not exactly.

[Pivot out a heel and he taps it. Once, twice.] Call it Dad's avarice, call it whatever you want. Homunculus, if you really want to know.

Greed is it? Well perhaps I should call you friend. [But she's fond of men who know how to bow, for once reason or another.]

Greetings and welcome, my lord Greed. I am Elizabeth Tudor, Queen of England. It is an honour for you to join us.

[Oh, isn't that just rich]

[Greed hums low in his throat; makes a noise that seems to slither out of that dank, dark core of his. Closes his lips to placate the lady and her ... interesting language.]

[His lids fall heavy and he's taking a once over - a glance as two of his fingers expand at his collarbone. Highlight the red tattoo blazed on the back of his palm.]

Just Greed, lovely. I'm not exactly royalty.

[He retracts his fingers like claws, slides them back down to loop them through the leather belt loops of his pants.] The pleasure's all mine.

[The change is... simple for her, she's gotten better at how people insist here.]

Nobles aren't royalty. They may dream of it, but they're certainly not the case. [but her arrogance aside.] But oh, if you are greed, nobility and royals certainly know you. [Greed and pride, the two sins she'd never be ashamed of. She went above and beyond even nobles, she wouldn't stop until a whole country was hers after all. Thousands upon thousands of men loyal to her, and her alone. The closest to divinity that mortal men could touch.]

Kind of you to say so.

[He's already on the move, though attentions haven't waned. He arches a thin brow above his shades, lets his smile cut deep. A little crooked, but it seems he's in fine company.]

I'm sorry - used to know a guy who claimed to be. [However, that's neither here nor there. Now, the talk of sin? Makes eyes close and that saunter pick up; the tip-top slicing cut of clean heels gracing a road.]

[No need to stick around in one place.] The name's Greed - and you could say that. Though, it's just one man's avarice. Boring story.

[Stop, jerk. Whirl to the feed like a vulture turning-tabs on a fresh meal.] I make it a point not to offend a woman.

[The Major isn't all that sure she's impressed by the sparks and snaps and glittering teeth. She's seen enough people who act like sharks, she's sure she isn't going to appreciate someone who looks like one too. Mandalus has enough troubles heaped on it's plate, she's not sure it needs any more than it has already. ]

I don't think we've been brought here to make friends. But allies might be more welcome.

[If they can be trusted, that is. If they can prove themselves, if they aren't all mysterious. She needs to know what she's dealing with]

You're not going to find this place on any maps that you're used to either. Not if they've brought you here.

[Had he known, he may feel a little offended.]

[As it stands, she's cool - real cool. A little colder than he would have liked and it shows on his face for just the briefest of seconds. The fall of a smile, the exhaustion of heavy-weighted brows. A kicked out heel and a twist and the homunculus bends of his hip bones. Stops his wandering stroll for just a pause.]

Oi, oi, oi -

[But a shrug - a casual, uncaring gesture that sends all fur rising. He lifts up a curved boot, kicks out a heel briefly.]

I think that's been established, lovely. Doesn't exactly look like where I'm from. [And where he's from is either in shambles or the winning team took the lot of it. Either way, it doesn't explain why - ]

- they, huh. [That wasn't mentioned. And now he's hooked - line, sinker. Unfortunately, it's nothing but the newest angler fish for the day's catch. Brimming with wicked jaws and the light's left on: come and see.]

[Still, he shoots both palms up in a gesture of surrender - that he means no harm.]

[Especially not to a woman.] Allies - well, I've told you mine. Care to give me yours?

[She lifts an eyebrow, arms crossing across her chest and she sits in silence for a moment, waiting to see if there's any more to come. But the shark seems to have finished, for the moment, and she's left to consider his words. Few and far between, and sometimes that's enough to gauge someone, sometimes it's not. And it's not enough this time- there's more to him, that's for certain.

And while she's not willing to get involved, she's... interested.]

It doesn't look like anywhere we're from. It's a different world. That's the point. [Did they give him the same spiel they gave her? Or does everyone get a slightly tweaked version? That's concerning] They. Yes. Them. The ones in charge. Or pretending to be.

[Surrender? Huh, you don't want to lay that card down yet, do you?]

Major Kusanagi.
