[The angel appears as he usually does - wait is that a new tie? It might be. It might also be silver. Thank you, Elizabeth. Still, everything is as it should be - trenchcoat, black suit, messy hair with at least two day's worth of stubble on the angel's chin. The blue eyes do seem more intent today - probably just the tie though

You've been a busy boy. Don't you take time off, you weirdo?
Okay. Fine. I'm in on the whole... lore thing. But it's not a priority. I have things to do, [[Nurseries to design] Are you just looking at lore here, or what? Lizzie knows far more about this shit than a busy lady has any right to, she might be able to help. Not that I'm making this a family project or anything.
Another thing- since when have you had a birthday?

Just the lore here. I do not think our lore is applicable. [The angel looked thoughtful.] Her help would be invaluable ... She is one of the most intelligent humans of any age. If she would be willing to help.
I have always had a birthday. As have you. We just never celebrate, Gabriel. Technically, your birthday is before mine by the span of a few human days.

[And that, well that makes him laugh] Oh, she is. Of any age. You never met Cleo, did you? Cleopatra? She was pretty good too. But I'll bring her along. As long as you're not going to get her all excited or into trouble.
Cas. Cas. We weren't born. Dad just... popped us into existence. Before He even came up with Days. [He shakes his head. He's always one for a party, but this... birthday stuff isn't for him. Never has been. He doesn't want to think about how old he is. Not when the existence of everything else is so... finite.] But I'll come along to yours. Sounds like fun.

We were never personally introduced, no. [A firm nod.] Good. And no more trouble than we are already in.
Gabriel. [And this time, it is the little brother with the patient tone.] If Father popped us into existence - then he gave birth to us. Besides, you are always the one telling me I must ... understand more about humans. Humans mark the occasion of their births. Everyone who I have spoken to is in favor of it, as well.

[He has a bright grin for his friend.] You have a birthday... why didn't I know that? [Dean shakes his head a bit.]
How about cake and pie? And I'll take you out for drinks that night, too. [A pause.] What do you want for your birthday?

[He nods a bit.] Yeah, but you get gifts for your birthday too. Like mine is January 24th, so I'd get gifts that day when I was a kid. [Before the fire. Afterwards, birthdays gradually got ignored, for the most part, as they got older.]

I see ... I ... do not require any more presents. Time spent with friends. That is gift enough.

[Colour the god curious. He is, after all, celebrated on Thursdays too.] Your day of birth is a curious one.
As is your profession. It would be wise to find a name for your business, that way you may advertise better for it.

[He tilted his head, curious all on his own.] What name would you suggest, stranger?
Reply
[He considers for a moment.] Something fitting to your personality. Whoever knows you best may have an idea.

[He nods his head slowly and thoughtfully.] So I should ask my friends who are creative with such things.

[She'd scold him about being outside, but she's pretty sure angels don't feel cold (at least, she can't remember the sensation herself). And, well, the "knowing battles"? She hoped she wouldn't get any trouble from people about that.]
...It's almost your birthday? You can have the party here.

Thank you ... I would like that very much.

[And they'll be out of Dean's hair for his New Year's Eve party.]
Can I do anything? Do you want a cake?
Reply
[This was exactly what he was thinking. One of the things they always have in common, that.]
You can be there.

You've started a bakery? [ Helen looks absolutely amused and thrilled at the idea. Oh, Cas. She should show you some of her older recipes. ] I wasn't aware angels celebrated birthdays.
