[With a quick reply of: I can be there in ten, Ruby leaves the diner. She trusts the employees to not burn the place down in however long it will take for Ruby to run her errand. At the apartment in question, she knocks on the door.]
[Mary Margaret doesn't send a message. Instantly, she is packing up the things she needs to check over for school, and putting them all into a bag to take with her, so she can do some work today and not just leave them behind. Whatever it is Mr. Gold needs can't possibly take all day, so she'll just take her work to Granny's and finish up there. So, she slips on a new pair of rain boots she bought and heads to go and walk the distance from her apartment building to his.
As soon as she's there, bag over her shoulder, pale cream coat on, she knocks the door and squares up her shoulders.]
[ The door opens and Rumpelstiltskin stands there. Aware that this is odd, considering he usually is the one coming to their aid, he simply steps aside for her to enter. Ruby had been by earlier, as he requested, a nd there still had been no change. ]
Of course. [ The statement is made more to himself, but he motions for her to make herself comfortable. Snow White would do it without his blessing anyways. ]
[It was doubtful the man had anything of his, given how few actual possessions The Spine kept. But at the same time, he was curious to see. And at the worst, it was some time out of the apartment, some much appreciated time to himself.
So Mr. Gold would have one tall silver automaton stepping into his store at some point in the afternoon, green optics taking in the surroundings. It was certainly a curious little shop, and with as much variety as he could see, he had a feeling that this shopkeeper had just about anything you could imagine, tucked away safely on some shelf or in some old leather-bound chest.]
Now, I must say, I've only seen one other person like you here in Mandalus. [ He points straight at the Spine with a smirk on his face. ] And, as memory serves, he isn't quite fond of me. Then again very few are.
[The automaton just smiles wryly at that, one brow quirking upward at the comment.] Now what could you have possibly done to make my brother dislike you?
[Really there were options, from the perfectly legitimate all the way to 'Rabbit dislikes the way your face looks today' in severity.]
I mentioned that he was rather human like. Apparently it was the wrong thing to say to such a cleverly built individual such as himself. [ Yeah, he really has no regrets. ]
[ There was no mistaking it. For the past day he could have sworn he heard the voice he remembered hearing not so long ago. A voice that, when he asked Baby Tooth, she could not hear. The littlest fairy only shrugged her shoulders and offered the Guardian a curious look. But he knew he could hear it-- It was her voice. Just like before when his memories had been in the possession of Pitch Black
( ... )
Oh, there's no point in that. You've made quite an announcement for yourself already.
[ Mr. Gold pointed right to the window where the frost had gathered on the window. It was obvious to him when the Guardian had come near. He had his own sense of power, perhaps not as old or deep as his own, but power nonetheless. He smiled at him, placing one of the wands he was cleaning into it's case. ]
Pulling the staff away from the bell, the Guardian looked over to Mr. Gold and tried to pass all of this off with a laugh and a grin. He had not expected the old man to see him. Really, he hadn't. But apparently Mandalus was full of surprises: after all, this was the third adult to know of him. To see him. ]
Who else can fly around and cause the snow to form and the air to turn into ice? Give yourself some credit, Mr. Frost. Children everywhere can sleep better knowing that school may yet be canceled.
[ He picks up the next wand and starts cleaning it. ]

...Belle? [She confirms it without needing to as she steps inside, reaching up to take her hat off and put it in her bag.]
