[The phone comes on to a shaky feed and it's clear whoever is recording this isn't the main focus of the broadcast. Instead, it tilts up to show a
man covered in
blood and
filth and wounds. He holds a strange
weapon and it's obvious that Dean is wary, alert, and more than prepared to shoot or stab someone if they get in his way

[The angel doesn't even know what number that is - but he's at the station in a moment - interrogating the man with about as much mercy as Dean presented by stealing his phone and his bag. The angel disappears just as abruptly as he appeared, dialing it as he appears on the top of the station, looking around. He can't see the hunter -- but that means nothing. The way Dean was acting ... he could have gone to ground very easily.]
[The angel muttered into the phone, his gravely voice even more intent than usual.] Pick up the phone, Dean.

Who is it? [He doesn't know who is calling, he didn't bother to check.]

Dean.

Son of a bitch, it's good to hear your voice. I thought I left you and Benny behind in Purgatory.
[A pause.] Pretty sure Benny's still stuck there. Dammit.

Dean, what the fuck are you doing?!
[Shit, they can't handle crazy Sam and crazy Dean and dumped Gabriel, even Castiel can only go so far.]

Jo. [Alive Jo, and not ghost Jo trying to kill him. Fucking Mandalus.] You look good.

Where are you? I'll come get you, take you to Bobby's.

[He smiles then, shaking his head.] Nah, don't worry yourself. I wouldn't want you to be caught down-wind of me right now. I smell like dead... well, dead everythin'.

[ To say she's in shock is an understatement. What she sees is just so vastly different than how she personally knows Dean (it doesn't help she missed certain goings on in the city because of a lovely trip below). ]
D-Dean? Ya got someone who can see to ya? [ She doesn't want to count the wounds. ] You're in Mandalus. You're back.

[He lets out a rough breath as he deals with a wound he's got thanks to being shot at.] It's good to be back.

's good to have ya back.

[ Helen isn't sure if she should chastise him for making off with someone's things, or be absolutely concerned with the condition he's in. ]
Dean. Welcome back. Are you alright?

A little worse for wear, but I'm good. It's good to see ya, Doc, it's been a while.

It must have been. I think you even look older. [ She'll still tease him though. ]

[He shrugs, giving her another smile.] How've things been?

[ Selina saw the broadcast, but didn't bother to respond to it. As she figured it, Dean would want to get home to his brother and his friends before anything else. That's how she rationalized it at least. Really, she just wanted to avoid a reunion. Reunions didn't go the best for her, and Dean looked like he had been to Hell and back. Putting her phone back in her pocket, she kept walking down the sidewalk she was on. She didn't have a real destination in mind, which is probably why she ended up in one of the old construction sites bordering the Business District. Too distracted by her thoughts, she turns the corner and bumps right into someone.
Hi, Dean. ]

Dammit, Kitty. Don't sneak up on a guy with a bad case of itchy trigger finger. [He rakes his hand through his filthy hair then grins at her and doesn't even think twice about pulling her forward into a hug.] God damn, it's good to see you.

She raises her hands and pulls back. Someone has her defensive walls all back up in place. ]
I'm touched you bothered to remember me. [ And there is the playful -yet flippant - attitude. ]
Reply
Damn right I'd remember you. A couple years away won't wipe my memory. You're pissed I was gone, though, right? [He reaches to cup the side of her neck, his thumb stroking her jaw.] I'll make it up to ya.
