[ Waiting by the doors was none other than Helen Magnus herself, ready to welcome all the guests that enter the Sanctuary. Unlike many, she isn't dressed entirely fancy, simply enough to semi-formal for the occasion. She can also be found walking around the foyer to tend to guests or hold conversations with others. Of course, as always, there tends to be the little stubborn abnormal that is running through the group of guests to cause a bit of chaos. It's never a dull moment for Helen, and certainly never calm. ]

[Walking through the doors of the Sanctuary, the angel is brushing snow off his sleeve and his fist, a faintly disgruntled expression on his face as he carries his brightly decorated bag in the other hand. He spots Helen, and that look fades to his faint smile.]

[He has, per the insistence of everyone he knows - has changed out of his rumpled suit to a sleeker model. He is still wearing the trenchcoat over it, ruining the lines slightly.]

[He presents the bag to his hostess.] Many happy holiday saluations on the birth of my half-brother.

[ Helen turns her head when she sees Castiel, and a smile quickly spreads over his face. She turns to him entirely, taking the bag and looking at it quickly. The comment, however, makes her look up and raise her eyebrows. ] He's your half-brother? [ Well, Mandalus is never boring.

Still, being the lovely Victorian hostess she is? Helen gives him a welcoming kiss on the cheek. ] An early Happy Christmas to you as well, Castiel.

Well, yes. He is the son of God and Mary, after all. [He stated simply, before his eyebrows rose up as she leaned in and pressed a kiss to his cheek. He looked at her with a quiet sense of wonder.]

I ... thank you, Helen. [Angels didn't blush, but he did look more pleased.] Am I to return the gesture? Is it traditional?

[ When Selina Kyle attends a party, she always has to make a statement. Which is why she has chosen to wear a red dress to this occasion as opposed to her normal black evening wear. After all, who is going to be looking for a cat burglar in red? But, no doubt Elizabeth would have let her leave Hatfield Palace without looking done up as well. It isn't hard for Selina to act like a socialite with grace and manners. As usual, she has her own reasons for being at the party. When doesn't Selina have her own agenda?

She pardons herself through the group of guests and makes her way towards the table with drinks on it. ]

Selina!

[...So pretty. How does Raven get to be that pretty? Some day she needs to learn. Maybe.]

Raven. I was wondering where you've been.

[ Admittedly, it doesn't help that now Selina's nighttime job is thievery oops. ]

Things got kind of busy around here recently. [What with the holidays, and Dr. Magnus' apparently estranged daughter showing up.]

...How are you?

[Considering his obsession love of all things Christmas, the copper automaton is having himself quite the time at Helen's little shindig. Between song sets, the metal man can be found hopping from here to there, engaging just about anyone he can grab the attention of in conversation, a wide smile twisting his copper faceplates and a pair of felt reindeer antlers attached to his trademark hat.

Feel free to bother him or he may just come bother you first!]

You certainly seem to be enjoying yourself. I like the antlers.

[ Helen nods and points to the ones nestled on Rabbit's head. ]

[As cheekily as ever.] What antlers?

[ That makes her laugh. ] The ones that are jingling every time you move, of course. Though you might be a bit small for what St. Nicholas needs.

[Ezio was busy wandering the party. He wasn't used to modern clothes still, but he'd decided to try to fit in a little with a nice suit. He didn't like it very much but he knew he looked good in it, and that was easily enough to relax him into wearing it.

Still, he made a point of avoiding talking to too many people, because he felt strange and out of place while trying to actually fit in. Modern clothes were so odd.]

You know, I half-expected you to show up in your robes.

[ Says the significant other who is suddenly behind him. Helen apparently is learning from the assassins that randomly stop by. ]

[He turns at her voice and gives her a light smile.]

Ah, I considered it. I feel... ridicolo.

[ Helen tilts her head, popping a playful eyebrow out. Oh yes, she is entirely looking him over in the suit in front of everyone. Not that they'll notice. ]

If it helps at all, darling, you hardly look ridicolo.

[Mary Margaret was stuck on what to do about going to a party. She felt strange without Charming here for any celebrations, even if she'd spent twenty-eight years without him. It seemed like the blink of an eye now and it made her uneasy to be here without him or Emma. She just wanted her family here for the holidays.

Still, she'd dressed up nicely and arrived soon enough, after making a quick dodge of an angry snowman (and running up to the front door to get away from it). Now, she was planning to just mingle, talk to a few people, and try not to worry or fuss.]

[ Next to the door is Helen, greeting guests as they come in. She quickly recognizes Snow and puts her hand on her arm with a gentle smile. ]

It's a lovely dress, Snow.

[Snow smiles a little as she looks down at the dress, smoothing her hands down it.]

Thank you, Helen. You look wonderful as well.

It's hardly formal compared to what most are wearing. [ She nods over to the party. ] I certainly didn't expect people to dress up for it.
