Posing a Question?

I don't post very often.  I sometimes come in and read about the lives of my friends here.  You who here are sweet people that I truly like.  But today I am pondering a what it really means to be a friend.  I have my own definition and do you.  I am wondering if you would share that with me?

What does it mean to be your friend?

a friend is someone you love, defend, whup upside the head sometimes, think about often, see when you can, know even though years have passed without a word.

Thanks for your reply. I am having a moment of extreme frustration with some people who call me friend but I am mort like filler or someone they can blow smoke up my ass. Why do I stay friends with people who do not know the meaning of?
