David Attenborough is still bloody awesome and I hope he lives on forever as some sort of Zombie Attenborough or something, narrating docos for decades to come. Some time in that long break between Queen's Birthday and Cup Day I'm tempted to take a week off and just do nothing but sit in my PJ's and watch the "Life" series from start to finish

Oh and dude, maybe leave the camera 'til you hit the states. I got a Nikon D40 for $650AUD WITH international warranty (so I don't have to send it back to the States if it fucks up) from Best Buy. At the time, the same camera was $1100 here. Just something to think about if the mid-year sales aren't so great.

I want to get used to using it etc. before I go, plus no doubt I will be taking lots of pictures even prior to leaving haha. We'll see. I'm not after anything fancy anyway, got about a $300-$350 budget for it so I can get quite a decent point-and-shoot in that range. I'll leave the digital SLR'ing to Rory :P
