Happy I got the balance right because I didn't want Angel to actually be under the spell or it would have felt a bit like rape. But his willingness to play the game for all he was worth was part of the fun!

Actually not sure if enspelled is the right word or not, but it's still a good one to express what you wanted to say! Another good word would have been bewitched, but I think I like enspelled better! That's the beauty of language!

So yes, I wanted Angel to let Spike think that he was enspelled, but if he really had been it would have felt like rape in a way. But Angel hammed it up wonderfully and lots of fun was had by all!!
