“Sir, there’s a … gentleman to see you.” Tom Pullings hesitated at how to describe the unexpected visitor; he would certainly not call him a ‘rum looking cove’ as Bonden had. “He says he’s Captain Jack…”
Aubrey’s eyebrows shot up. He’d heard of him, of course; scourge of the seas the man had been once - a mountebank with it. Now he’d entered a disreputable old age trailing a string of mistresses and debts. “Escort him down to the great cabin. And best call him Mr Sparrow, not Captain.”
Tom frowned. “That’s not the name he gave, sir. Captain Jack Harkness.....”
