I'm sorry babe, but at least your car wasn't stolen... My brother's '92 Ford Taurus was stolen a couple years ago. They had tried to steal my grandfather's Expedition, but had no luck, so they went after the Taurus. And apparantly they arrived to my house in a stolen mini-van. :(

Hey Manda- so sorry about the car- at least they weren't able to successfully steal it. I know some people from UMD on a board I post on and two of them mentioned their cars being broken into within the past week or so. Be really really careful!!

Yeah, I'm really glad they didn't actually get away with the car. And apparently there were cars broken into all over College Park. But I think mine was a bit different cuz they wanted the car, not the stuff inside. They had opened the center console, and didn't even touch my cds, they just threw it aside. I'll definitely be more aware when I go to park now. I've even started parking my rental in front of the house, so I can see it from my window.
