The best side benefit of falling in love with Supernatural was finding this show.

I borrowed tapes just to skim through it to find Jensen Ackle's character - and ended up buying the DVD set and just falling in love with it.

Alec gets more & more important as the season goes on - and he begins to rival Max as the shows star.

And JA does some of his best acting ever, especially in The Berrisford Agenda - where he goes from trembling young man actually feeling something for the first time in his life, to hardened cynic sitting at the bar and pushing Max's sympathy away.

sigh
