Okay. I grew up saying kitty-corner, as did Sol.

Sol's reading a book called The Hundred-Yard War, in which the author specifically cites saying "catty-corner" as a Michigan thing. Since we were both raised in Michigan (albeit by 75% Kentucky/Ohio parents) and neither of us says it, I thought I'd ask around.

Dirk says so, too - but he's also kind of on the southern side (texas) except his parents weren't (s. dakota). But if his elementary school teacher said to stand catty-corner, then that would've been what stuck I guess?
