public servics msg for those in A^2

Just got this email from the director of the library and thought I'd pass the word along:

Today between 3:30 and 7:00 PM there will be sound testing at MI Stadium. The sound will be very, very loud and will be similar to the sonic boom created by fighter jets.

Wow. Yeah, that one is going to create public panic.
Are they testing that reaction? Is that the point, maybe?

I think they have to test that the structure they're underpinning can hold up to the decible level of games. And probably the jumping up and down and movement vibrations.

There have been sonic booms popping up all over lately. At least this one will be explained.

We used to have jets booming over the house in Genoa. I loved that. I'd run out and look up to see the tiny little jet up there in the sky. Hoggle, however, took it as a personal affront. Bark bark bark.

they're actually testing the sound qualities so they can figure out where to place the speakers. (I have a former prof & friend who is involved with the project)
