It is rather lovely, Snape's robes seem to be illuminated. Is that the quality from the older pastels?

The older pastels seem to have slightly more-intense colors, but you are getting the effect of a vivid color against deep black. The particular shade of blue that I used for Snape's robes is no longer manufactured (it probably has pigments that have since been banned as hazardous substances). :=)

It's a lovely blue, as you say probably with pigments that are no longer allowed. I'm tempted to make a comment about sacrificing artists' health and safety for good colours, but that would be mean.

That particular blue is a real favourite of mine.

I keep wondering if the blue has cobalt 60 in it. ;=)

I love how bright it looks. It's almost like a neon sign. It seems to glow.

I'm so sorry to hear the original was smudged. [hug] Your back is OK...? It didn't go even wonkier after you slipped, did it...? God, I hope not. [HUG]

Wow, that is amazing! The colours are stunning, especially the shine on Snape's hair and Hermione's dress. :D And I love all the nifty bottles in the background!
