I used candle light for the side angle, and for the background I used a wallpaper on my computer's monitor which was green to give that color. No flash, using an Olympus D400Z digital camera.
I wish I had the full size picture to send you, but the icon is all that remains after the photographer's hard drive crashed. This makes me very sad, because that is one of three photographs of myself that somehow managed to capture an essence, a side of my personality I can't translate into words or really show. My art is words, not visuals.
I am very, very flattered. I saw your work a few days ago on vintage_sex and loved it. I've always liked pastels, and you do very fine work in that medium. Many thanks to trinblackbird for pointing this out to me. =*)
But I am curious...what about the icon inspired you to take it and turn it into another art-form?
It seems like the original I remember wasn't as blurry, but that was last year, so my memory could be off. I'm so glad you didn't lose it...it's saved and backed up on disk this time.

Go read the userinfo... I'm a real person. I am me, and no one else
is like me. I'm the photographer of the picture to which he painted.
